About the Musicians...

Lizzie Scott - Vocals

Lizzie was born in Australia & was introduced to Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday & Louis

She's spent her entire life performing; beginning dancing at age 3 and studying opera at Adelaide Conservatorium
of Music & performing arts at The Drama Centre at Flinders University gaining a first class B.A. with Honours.

In a move to Sydney, Lizzie was offered a role in Cameron Mackintosh's stage production

Quickly after moving to London in 2000, Lizzie became one of the most sought after jazz/swing singers;
touring the UK & Europe with the most outstanding bands; Piccadilly Dance Orchestra, big band Jivin' Miss Daisy,
the Do-Rites & the Boisdales Blue Rhythm Band; recording various CDs & performing at venues like Royal Festival Hall,
Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Dorchester, the Savoy Hotel, Boisdales Jazz Club & the 100 Club. She has been guest vocalist

"Lizzie Scott has the kind of style jazz musicians love - direct and nicely phrased, with no showy tricks.
And you only have to hear her sing to know how well she understands the art of the ballad”

Dave Gelly, MBE, jazz critic of The Observer

Guitar: Andy Robinson

Andy Robinson: Guitar

Andy Robinson came to the guitar relatively late, at age 23, having previously played trombone, tuba and
toy ukulele for several years. He has played in dance bands, cruise ships, numerous west end theatre shows,
the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and also as a session musician for childrens television
("Spot the Dog" amongst others), jingles, pop sessions, etc. He also writes and arranges for jazz big band.

Andy is a fine jazz guitarist and his influences range from Django Reinhardt to Tony Rice, from Wes Montgomery
to Pat Metheny, and from Jim Hall to John Scofield. In a jazz setting Andy is mainly to be heard
playing his custom made Manson seven-string guitar (it has an extra bass string).

Andy is also a software designer and is the author of Transcribe!. This package assists musicians in the process of
transcribing music from recordings and is used by thousands of musicians world-wide, including many leading jazz artists.
